QUADBALL
Quaffle, snitch, bludger… If you’re familiar with these words, without a doubt, this is the section for you. A unique sport, brought to life from the pages of Harry Potter, quadball has sought gender equality on the pitch since its inception. One of the most important rules of the game is that ‘a team can have a maximum of four players of the same gender on the pitch’, meaning that at least 2 players (or 3 when the Seeker is in play) must be of a different gender to the majority. This rule specifically applies to the gender identity of a player, irrespective of their physical sex, making quadball a pioneering sport in terms of gender equality and the LGBTQI+ community.
