Jocs Taronja Program 2016 in Jocs Taronja

Samarucs Jocs Taronja in the 2016 edition, from March, 4th to 6th, in VALENCIA CITY, is also ADI GAMES.

This international sports tournament is organized by the Sports Club ‘Samarucs’, Valencia City.
JOCS TARONJA is a tournament enhancing LGBT+ visibility and demand, to combat the homophobia that happens in sports. We’re in favor of the normalization of the diversity of choice, gender identity and against discrimination.
This tournament is characterized by sportsmanship, pluralism and respect among people regardless of their orientation, gender identity and sexual orientation.
Different, fun, with significant contributions that make a difference in the staging, with all the rigor that Sports Federations demand. Providing inclusive solutions that the current rules are not provided to bypass the diversity of choice and sexual identity.

In the 2016 edition, from March, 4th to 6th, in VALENCIA CITY, was also ADI GAMES.ADI, Iberian Sports Association, which Samarucs belongs to, gives prominence to ADI GAMES highlighting it as an honor for 2016 tournament.

 Friday 4th March 2016 

Accreditation and opening ceremony

Registration, distribution of badges to participants and official welcome in the Complex esportiu i cultural la Petxina’ (passeig de la Petxina, 42).

From 6 pm - 10 pm in the reception room of the Petxina Sports Complex.

– A 19 pm, Opening Ceremony of the V Jocs Taronja 2016 by the Mayor of València, Joan Ribó. Held is sopts hall of Petxina Sports Complex.

– Then a presentation* by syncronized swimmer Pau Ribes: «A sport without out gender limitations: my struggle beyond the pool». Hels in the same soprts hall.

Cafeteria service will be available with discounts on drinks for the participants of Jocs Taronja and also the possibility to of evening meals there.

* Presentation organized in collaboration with de Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies.


 Saturday 5th March 2016 

Swimming competition

The sports activities have been organized with the support of the Delegation of Sports Council of Valencia.

The sports facilities were provided by the Municipal Sports Foundation, under the Department of Youth, Sports and Equality

Indoor pool at the ‘Poliesportiu Municipal de Natzaret (C/ Fernando Morais de la Horra, s/n).

Times: Heats from 9 am. Start of competition 10 am. The competition will end at approximately 1 pm.

After the competition, there will be a display of synchronized swimming* by Sincro Panteres Grogues y WoMen Synchro.

During the competition participants will have available drink and fruit.

Bus 4, 30 & 95 (Stop: Parc Natzaret - Moraira).

* Synchronized swimming display organized in collaboration with the Department of Equality and Inclusive Policies.


Football competition

7-a-side football pitches an the ‘Poliesportiu Municipal de Natzaret’ (C/ Fernando Morais de la Horra, s/n). (Football 7 pitches)

Times: 9.30 am to 5 pm.

There will be drinks, filled rolls and fruit available to the participants during the competion.

Bus 4, 30 & 95 (Stop: Parc Natzaret - Moraira).


Volleyball competition

Venue 1 – level C and B+

Covered Hall at the ‘Poliesportiu Municipal de Natzaret’ (C/ Fernando Morais de la Horra, s/n).

Times: 8.00 am opening of hall. Start of the competition 9.00 am until 7,30 pm approximately.

There will be drinks, filled rolls and fruit available to the participants during the competion.

Bus 4, 30 & 95 (Stop: Parc Natzaret - Moraira).

Venue 2 - level C+ and B

‘Pavelló Municipal de Benicalap’ (C/ Castellonet de la Conquesta, 18).

Times: 8.00 am opening of hall. Start of the competition 9.00 am until 7,30 pm   approximately.

There will be drinks, filled rolls and fruit available to the participants during the competion.

Bus 12 (Stop: Castellonet - Alfara del Patriarca), 64 (Stop: Joan XXIII - Periodista Gil Sumbiela), 60 & 89 (Stop: Dr. Pesset Aleixandre - Joan XXIII), 90 (Stop: Dr. Pesset Aleixandre - Guardacostes).

Metro/tram line 4 (Stop: Trànsits).

 

LGTB+ Sport Dinner

At ‘Hotel Parque Central’, plaza de Manuel Sanchis Guarner (no street number).

Located next to the "Pantera Rosa" and the neighborhood of Russafa. Photocall and free buffet. At 9.30pm.


V Jocs Taronja 2016 Party

Picadilly Downtown Club (C/ dels Tomasos, 13), located in the middle of Russafa.

Doors open at 12.30 am. Free entry and a drink with Jocs Taronja bracelet until 2am; thereafter there will be a €3 charge to enter. There will be special priced drinks for Jocs Taronja participants.

The Picadilly Sala is in Russafa, the new trendy and gay-friendly neighbourhood of Valencia, where you will find interesting restaurants, pubs and many cultural activities.


 Sunday 6th March 2016 

Chess competition

Room «Valencia, origen del ajedrez moderno, 1475» at the ‘Complex esportiu i cultural la Petxina’ (passeig de la Petxina, 42).

Times: 10 am to 2 pm approximately.

Bus 95 (Stop: Petxina - Terol), 29 & 90 (Stop: Pérez Galdós - Doctor Zamenhof), 29, 67 & 89 (Stop: Pérez Galdós - Castán Tobeñas), 81 (Stop: Sant Josep de la Muntanya - Pérez Galdós) & 67 (Stop: Pérez Galdós - Sant Josep de la Muntanya).

Competition organized in collaboration with Ciutat Vella Chess Club.


Brunch

Hotel Astolra (Pl. de Rodrigo Botet, 5).

Times: de 11 am to 1 pm. Meeting place Plaza del Ayuntamiento to enjoy a brunch and later to see the «mascletà». If you have never seen it live, it is a must! Don’t miss it!
